Week 25, Day 2: We took a parenting class at Northside Hospital called 'Baby Essentials'.  It was three hours of continuous information that I can hardly remember a week later.  Vivian couldn't really concentrate and almost fell asleep, but I think she already knows a lot more than I do.  We practiced a couple of things, such as diapering and bathing on plastic babies.  I still feel a little nervous and overwhelmed, but hopefully some of the things I forgot will come back to me after Emily is born.

There has been a gas shortage in Atlanta this past week because of Hurricane Ike, which recently hit the Gulf Coast area near Texas and decreased the oil supply in the southeast.  We mostly stayed close to home this weekend in order to conserve gas.  I waited about an hour to fill up Vivian's car yesterday afternoon.  Vivian has been sleeping a lot during the day, so this was a good opportunity to leave the house and let her rest.
